Louise and Mike Vidak have been working with this wonderful charity that is helping to make a personal difference to the lives of the children caught up in Fiji's Cyclone Winston disaster in February 2016.
Many of our clients and contacts have very generously contributed to this worthy cause.
The Vidak's have just returned from Fiji where they were delivering packages to kindergartens at the schools devastated by the recent cyclone. They spent the day in Ba, one of the worst hit areas north of Lautoka in Fiji, handing out boxes of educational books and games to the kindergartens at these schools.
Mike related, "It is very gratifying and the people so thankful. They have a long way to go to fix the mess. One classroom was completely gone and they are now using a UNICEF tent. Most classroms are in temporary arrangements as roof after roof is no longer there."
We would like to extend many thanks to all those that have already contributed books and games. It's great we are able to help others that need it. It is often the small things we take for granted that mean the most to others.
The schools are still very much in need of more educational books and spare working computer equipment.
