PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Vidak interpreted Air New Zealand's conceptual design and extensive wish list, partnering with them to develop and tool a new worksystem which met their aesthetic, functional and future business requirements.
The process started in march 2005. tooling and prototypes were completed within 12 months, and by end october 2006, 900 workstations were successfully installed in their new premises - on time and within budget.
It was a pretty big ask for a workspace company to come up with something brand new there were limited sketches Vidak have exceeded all expectations...
The environment gives people the right and the power to choose. If you come in tomorrow and decide you want to collaborate with others, you can use the flexibility and mobility of the desks and storage to move things around. The cable management design makes it simple! Later you can choose to retreat into your own private world - personalised with lots of pictures of home and kids. The spine then provides a barrier to intrusion and work disruption. You can easily change the colour palette around and refresh it over time at minimal cost.
"It was a pretty big ask for a workspace company to come up with something brand new - there were limited sketches - Vidak have exceeded all expectations it's incredible thinking in industrial design that has gone into the tooling." Angela Sampson - Geyer Design.
"I cannot praise your on site team enough , polite, helpful, and great workers, Vidak have delivered as we always expected without any fuss." Jeff Hodson - Air New Zealand.
